Using Interactive DCL Commands and Procedures

The DCL language provides the user’s basic interface with the operating system. This course presents the syntax (order of the parts) for DCL commands. It also includes discussion of the use of symbols, especially using symbols to create synonyms for often-used command forms and their use in DCL command procedures. The last part of the course builds additional awareness of the user’s OpenVMS process in its system context.
